As a group of First-Year Students from Inscape Education Group Pretoria, we are hosting a Fundraising event for Saartje Bartman Centre. Our aim is to not only raise awareness on child and Women abuse but also help raise funds to support the organization.

Why do we need to raise the funds?

Due to the unfortunate event that happened on the 11th May 2020, a fire broke out and caused their facilities to burn down. As part of our first year at Inscape Education Group, we First-year students have to host a fundraising event and support a charity of our choice. We have chosen Saartjie Bartman Center because we feel as though not many people are aware of the brutality of Women and Children. According to a 2013 global review by the World Health Organization, 35 % of women worldwide have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse, and these numbers keep rising yearly.

Our aim is to help gather enough money to help Saartjie Bartman Center to not only rebuild their facilities but also provide them with enough money to help those women and children with clothing, food and essentials to help make their recovery a little more comfortable.
